About Us
For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:16 NIV)
The Gospel means "good news". Religion can actually be bad news if it means that you have to earn your way to receive God's approval. The gospel offers reconciliation with God—not by any good works on our part but by all the good done for us already by Jesus Christ. We become good in God's eyes if we repent and confess our sins and receive forgiveness by trusting in Christ's sacrifice on our behalf. All sin is washed away through the cross, and all that is good is given to us freely and unconditionally. Grace is the love of God that offers eternal life to every person who believes in Christ—now that's good news!
Salvation is an act of God that takes place only by individual faith in Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Salvation requires a personal decision that enables rebirth into the family of God and establishes a personal relationship with God forever. Justification by faith in the finished work of Christ sets the sinner free from all condemnation of sins committed past, present, and future and begins the work of sanctification of the believer by the Holy Spirit. Justification is an event, not a process. Justification is entrance into the New Covenant with Christ as the bride of Christ and the body of Christ.
